Vintage
2016 is undoubtedly one of the best vintages of the last years, in line with 2009
and 2010. The summer brought to the vines their quotas of sun and rain,
especially 20mm of rain, on September 13, which allowed to perfect the maturity
of the grapes.
Tasting Notes
Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque core, violet reflexes, delicate brightening, dried
plum, some figs, candied orange zest, a hint of nougat in the background. Juicy,
elegant, ripe heart cherries, firm tannins, chocolaty and well-adhering, mineral
notes.
Serve with
Chateau La Cabanne is best paired with all types of classic meat dishes, veal, pork,
beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted braised and grilled dishes.
